The PYP homeroom teacher is responsible for the teaching and learning program, assessment and reporting at the relevant grade level. The successful candidate works and communicates well with parents, colleagues and students in various learning situations.

Minimum Application Requirements:
- Must be a native speaker of English
- Relevant teaching qualifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary, preferably in an IB school
- Can teach Numeracy and Literacy
- Can teach phonics
- Positive attitude towards students and fellow teachers, and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Team player, resourceful and knowledgeable
- A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom

- a full-time contract for two years

- assumption of the costs for an annual round-trip flight to your home country
- relocation costs in the amount of a one-time lump sum of € 1000
- An adequate partially or fully furnished rental apartment is provided rent-free within the scope of the duration and extension of the contract; the employee is obligated to pay a deposit of 2 months' rent to the DBST accounting department before moving into the apartment which will be refunded after the termination of the employment;
- assumption of the costs of a local basic health insurance within the scope of the duration and extension of the contract
- a thirteenth salary

- On-site support:
- The administration provides support in the search for accommodation and is on hand to offer advice and assistance to colleagues throughout the duration of the contract.

The DBST is an all-day school, there is a canteen where a warm lunch is offered.
The popular school coffee shop, located in the entrance area, offers a selection of hot and cold soft drinks and a variety of snacks.
The school library offers students a diverse selection of German- and English-language children's, young adult, and non-fiction books.
The afternoon program consists of partly regular school subjects and various study groups such as soccer, homework supervision, disaster prevention, and much more.
Traditional events such as the annual summer festival and the Christmas bazaar strengthen the social bonds of our multi-culti school community and create a unique atmosphere on our school campus with tolerance and friendship, combined with German values and Iranian warmth.

Tehran is located about 1200 to 1800m above sea level. The climate is very hot and dry in summer, especially in July and August. Autumn and especially spring are very pleasant; in winter, snow falls even in Tehran. With a population of ten to thirteen million, the city has a very dense population in the central and southern parts and very attractive residential areas in the north.

Iran is a country with a great, interesting history and a diverse nature that offers good recreation and variety, starting from the Caspian Sea, the Elburs Mountains with an excellent skiing area to the desert Lut.
