The German Swiss International School (GSIS) in Hong Kong is one of the leading

Bilingual Geography and History Teacher (German International
Branch)
. The successful candidate is a highly motivated teacher

expected to be up-to-date with current teaching and learning practices regarding
differentiated instruction, various assessment methods, and
feedback mechanisms. They are dynamic, open-minded

What we are looking for
: ● Teacher training (Germany, Switzerland, Austria)
● Proven teaching experience at the secondary level preferred
● High level of subject-matter and methodological competence
● Native-level German
● Excellent written and spoken English skills

Bewerbungsverfahren

The Central Agency for German Schools Abroad (ZfA) is responsible for selecting and placing teachers on assignment abroad at German schools abroad. Applications are always initially submitted through official channels via the school principal to the relevant higher-level school authority (home school authority) – this authority decides whether you will be granted leave for assignment abroad. The responsible school authority then forwards the documents to the ZfA. The ZfA will send you an acknowledgment of receipt and confirm your inclusion in the placement process. Your documents are then stored in the ZfA's applicant database. Principals of German schools abroad can access this database via a secure online portal to search for and select suitable teachers for their schools. Interested principals may then contact you. After receiving a binding offer from the teacher, the ZfA reviews the selection and generally approves the conclusion of the employment contract with the school.
