LEHRKRAFT FÜR DEUTSCH ALS FREMDSPRACHE (DAF)(ENGLISCHER INTERNATIONALER ZWEIG – SEKUNDARSTUFE)
Der erfolgreiche Kandidat ist ein ausgezeichneter Lehrer für Deutsch als Fremdsprache, der sich dafür einsetzt, dass jedes Kind die höchstmöglichen Standards erreicht. Von Ihnen wird erwartet, dass Sie über die aktuellen Best Practices beim Lehren und Lernen von Fremdsprachen für Schüler auf dem Laufenden sind, einschließlich formativer Bewertungsstrategien. Sie sind ein dynamischer, aufgeschlossener und enthusiastischer Lehrer, der Lernmöglichkeiten bietet, die den Bedürfnissen, Fähigkeiten und Entwicklungsstadien jedes Schülers gerecht werden. Sie engagieren sich für pädagogische Ansätze, die jedem Schüler die Möglichkeit geben, Erfolg zu erleben, und die alle Schüler herausfordern, ihr volles Potenzial auszuschöpfen. Der Lehrer für Deutsch als Fremdsprache besitzt die Fähigkeit, in allen Jahrgangsstufen und jeglichen Niveaus in der englischen Sekundarschule zu unterrichten. Ein Hauptziel wird die Vorbereitung der Studierenden auf das UK IGCSE und das International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma sein. Außerdem werden die Lerner auf die Prüfungen zum Deutschen Sprachdiplom (Stufen I und II) vorbereitet.
Tätigkeitsprofil
The German-Swiss International School (DSIS) is one of the leading international schools in Hong Kong and offers a first-class, holistic education to around 1300 students and 240 teachers and staff. Our multinational school community benefits from a challenging educational offering based on two streams - German and English. These lead to qualifications in the German International Abitur as well as I/GCSE and IBDP. We invite applications for the following position, which starts in August 2025.
What we need and what we are looking for
- Teaching qualification and corresponding academic qualification in the subject area
- 3 years or more teaching experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of English (native speaker level) and excellent knowledge of German (at least C1 level of CEFR) with solid written and oral communication skills
- Culturally sensitive, tolerant and patient
- Positive, proactive and independent work ethic
- Experience with or knowledge of the IB Diploma
- Experience with the IGCSE program as well as the DSDI and II qualifications is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in international travel, including a language exchange program, if required
- Enthusiasm for participation in extracurricular and academic enrichment activities.
