Job Summary
GISC is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and professional teacher who provides instruction to students during the 2020-21 or 2021-2022 school year, potentially longer

We are specifically recruiting homeroom teachers for Kindergarten, Grade 3 and Middle School, as well as language and subject teachers.

Essential Job Functions 
- Plan, initiate, and guide the study of units of study with clear objectives, which involve speaking, listening, writing, and reading.
- Provide appropriate instruction to the students, applying innovative teaching methods informed by current research.
- Establish and enforce rules for positive conduct and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.
- Assess student learning and progress, correct papers, keep records, write reports, and provide feedback.
- Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Attend All-Staff- and IB-Meetings and collaborate with other educators.
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.

Other Job Responsibilities                                             
- In collaboration with the Department, create the course syllabus within the curriculum for the entire school year. Segregate the syllabus as per the lecture sessions. Submit plans for each week.
- Hold timely meetings with the students and the students' parents to discuss the demeanor of the students in the class and their performance in the academic tests and examinations conducted.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 years of teaching experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IB experience, especially PYP & MYP experience, preferred
- Native or near-native English speaker preferred
